NWO physics is a large conference that provides a topical overview of physics in the Netherlands. Traditionally, young researchers are given the chance to present themselves and their work alongside renowned names from the dutch and international physics community. NWO physics will take place on Tuesday 19 and Wednesday 20 january 2027.
The theme of NWO Physics 2027 is Bridging Worlds. This inclusive theme brings together all subfields of physics, emphasizing how NWO Physics connects all physicists across the Netherlands. Showcasing how physics advances by building bridges between theory and experiment, fundamental curiosity and technological innovation, across disciplines, and between people.
NWO Physics 2027 welcomes three inspiring plenary speakers: Philip Ball freelance writer and broadcaster, William Bialek from Princeton University and Nicola Spaldin from ETH Zurich and the European Research Council. On Monday 18 January 2027 the Strategic Evening for PI's takes place. More information about the programme will follow soon.
